Capture Lincolnshire This Summer – Join Our Photo Competition!

Are you heading out this summer with your camera, drone, or phone to capture the beauty of Lincolnshire? Then we want to see your photos!

Join our exciting Summer Photography Competition and stand a chance to win fantastic prizes. There are five categories to enter, with a limit of one entry per category:

  • VE80 Lincolnshire – Capture our special relationship with the armed forces across Lincolnshire.
  • Summer Days Out – Whether it’s sunny shots, your family enjoying the best of Lincolnshire, or a memorable day out, share the joy of summer adventures and great days out.
  • Active Lincolnshire – From walking to windsurfing, capture all the action and adventure across the county.
  • Lincolnshire Coast – From Cleethorpes to Gibraltar Point and beyond, explore and capture the stunning beauty of our award-winning coastline.
  • Nature & Landscapes – Lincolnshire offers a diverse range of landscapes waiting to be explored and photographed! From the peaceful fenlands and tranquil woodlands to the rolling hills of the Wolds Area of Natural Beauty (AONB).

Competition dates: 25th May – 21st September 2025

The winner and runners-up will have their photos displayed on the Visit Lincolnshire website and may even feature in Visit Lincolnshire’s marketing and promotional materials to showcase the beauty of our county!

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The title for LCC Adult Learning & Visit Lincolnshire (Lincolnshire County Council) Photography Competition 2025 is “Summer Photography Competition”. 
  2. The competition is open to adults over 19
  3. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries. If there are children who are under the age 16 within the photo you must have permission from their parents/guardians to enter the photograph.
  4. Please note that the competition is only open to Greater Lincolnshire residents.
  5. Photographs entered must be taken in Greater Lincolnshire, UK. 
  6. Entrants can submit 1 photo per category, in colour, and must be uploaded via MS Form as JPEGs in landscape format.
  7. LCC Adult Learning & Visit Lincolnshire are aware that digital photography does allow for some image enhancement. You can enter images that have had spots, scratches or other blemishes removed. You can have worked on the colour or enhanced the image for the sake of the composition. You can also crop the image to improve composition. We will not accept composite images – entries that stitch two or more separate photographs together to make one image, entries that superimpose elements photographed separately onto an image, or AI-generated images. We want you to stay faithful to the spirit of the competition and never misrepresent the aspect of the scene being portrayed. LCC Adult Learning & Visit Lincolnshire judges reserve the right to exclude any image they believe may have been excessively treated so as to alter its authenticity.
  8. The competition is open to Greater Lincolnshire residents only. Employees of Lincolnshire County Council, as well as their immediate families are not eligible to enter the competition and win the prize but are able to submit their photography.
  9. LCC Adult Learning & Visit Lincolnshire will only ever use personal details for the purposes of administering the competition. Visit Lincolnshire & Adult Learning will only keep your personal details for as long as is necessary to fulfil these purposes LCC Adult Learning & Visit Lincolnshire will not pass on your personal information to a third party without your prior permission. Lincolnshire County Council abides by the General Data Protection Regulation of 2024 and complies with its provisions to ensure that any data you provide is treated accordingly.
  10. The competition closes at 23:59 on Sunday 21st September 2024. Entries received after this date will not be considered. Entries will not be returned so please remember to keep a copy. Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted and no feedback on any entry will be provided.
  11. All photographs will be judged by the LCC Adult Learning & Visit Lincolnshire teams, and they will decide on the winning photograph
  12. The winner and runners up will be featured on the Visit Lincolnshire website. All entrants’ photos will be eligible to be used in Visit Lincolnshire marketing communications both on and offline.
  13. The judges’ decisions will be final, and no correspondence can be entered into.
  14. All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured. Where an individual or a residential property, belonging to someone other than the photographer is featured, the photographer must seek permission and be prepared to provide written consent, if requested. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.
  15. Entrants will retain copyright in the photographs that they submit to Visit Lincolnshire. By entering the competition all entrants grant Visit Lincolnshire the right to publish and exhibit their photographs on Visit Lincolnshire’s website and marketing in perpetuity both globally and nationally.
  16. Entrants may be asked to disclose details of any and all criminal and civil actions pending against them or served against them plus any unspent convictions. Entrants asked for this information must keep Visit Lincolnshire informed of any changes to that disclosed up to the point the winner is announced. This information will be handled in the strictest confidence and, as with all personal information, in accordance with LCC Adult Learning & Visit Lincolnshire Privacy Policy.
  17. Following standard industry practice, LCC Adult Learning & Visit Lincolnshire may undertake background checks of the shortlisted finalists. Information discovered, or that may have been disclosed by the entrants themselves will inform the decision as to the selection of the shortlisted entries, and the eventual winner.
  18. LCC Adult Learning & Visit Lincolnshire reserves the right to cancel this competition or alter any of the rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  19. If the winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, Visit Lincolnshire reserves the right to either offer the prize to a runner up, or to re-offer the prize in any future competition.
  20. These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This competition is administered by LCC Adult Learning (Lincolnshire County Council)
  21. Please take your photos responsibly and always follow the local legislation, bylaws and Countryside Code.
  22. Visit Lincolnshire will not sell your photo or obtain revenues from the use of your photo.
  23. By entering, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these rules and Lincolnshire County Council reserves the right to exclude any entry from the competition at any time and in its absolute discretion if LCC Adult Learning & Visit Lincolnshire has reason to believe that an entrant has breached these rules.
